Elk Mountain Academy is a Christian residential treatment center for teenage girls troubled with life-controlling issues or misbehavior that may be threatening their future.

The Elk Mountain Academy experience is not a short one. In order to totally rehabilitate their mental health, emotional, and behavioral disorders, we require that troubled girls from Dist of Columbia stay a minimum of one year.

Through over two decades of treating troubled girls, we have found that twelve months is the optimum amount of time it takes to ensure that teenage girls not only overcome their mental and behavioral issues but also achieve the tools they need to obtain enduring success in all areas of their life.

Elk Mountain Academy treats the following issues:

• major trauma
• physical or mental abuse
• attachment disorders related to adoption
• eating disorders
• self-harming behaviors
• lack of motivation
• minor or experimental substance abuse

Elk Mountain Academy provides Christian Counseling and Christ-centered therapy for girls in crisis. As a Christ-centered therapeutic boarding school, it is our pleasure to introduce every Elk Mountain Academy (EMA) student to Jesus Christ.

Elk Mountain Academy is a Christian residential school and therapeutic intervention for troubled girls from Dist of Columbia. EMA offers counseling teenage girls struggling with anger, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), attention deficit, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance abuse, depression, reactive attachment disorder (RAD), intermittent explosive disorder (IED), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, self-harm, and or general rebellion.
